Project Coordinator

COMPANY:    Philippine Coffee Board, Inc.
JOB TITLE:   Project Coordinator (Contractual)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Prepares and supervises project implementation based on scope of work, terms and conditions of the project.
  • Oversees roll out implementation within time line, budget and standards.
  • Controls and coordinates all field activities and operations inherent to the implementation of the project with direct reporting to the Steering Committee.
  • Conducts ocular inspection and monitors all activities with regard to the cooperatives’ / partners; performance.
  • Represents the company on all matters affecting the project within the limits set by the contract agreement.
  • Negotiates and makes decisions and recommendations as may be appropriate and within set authorization.
  • Prepares progress reports on the project on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Monitors utilities consumption of the site if they are within the deliverables and budget of the company at all times.
  • Performs other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Male, graduate of Agriculture, Agri-Business or related course.
  • With at least two (2) years work experience, preferably related to project management.
  • With excellent Project Management skills, as well as written and verbal communications skills, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Licensed driver, willing to work in Makati but must also be willing to travel to project areas.
  • Preferably can speak Ilocano.
  • Highly motivated and has the ability to coordinate multiple projects.
  • Must be highly organized, analytical and systematic individual.
  • Must have a sense of urgency and initiative to perform set duties even without instructions.
  • Can work under minimum supervision and able to cope up with pressures and deadlines.

Organic Program Officer

JOB TITLE:   Organic Program Officer (Contractual)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Prepares and supervises project implementation based on scope of work, terms and conditions of the project and according to set standards on Organic Agriculture.
  • Controls and coordinates all field activities and operations inherent to the implementation of the project with direct reporting to the Steering Committee.
  • Examines the process of organic handling of cooperatives’ / partners seeking organic certification under the project by way of inspecting buildings, equipment, contamination risks, pest management, sales and production records among others.
  • Represents the company on all matters affecting the project within the limits set by the contract agreement.
  • Negotiates and makes decisions and recommendations as may be appropriate and within set authorization.
  • Prepares progress reports on the project on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Performs other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Male, graduate of a course on economics, public administration, sociology, business management, agribusiness, marketing, community development, social work, entrepreneurship, development management and related degrees.
  • 2-3 years experience on any or a combination of the above work engagement.
  • Training and experience in handling Organic Agriculture programs.
  • Experience in program development and policy development work involving government, NGOs, POs/communities, private sector, industry associations and financing institutions.
  • Linkage and networking skills with government agencies, LGUs, private sector, donor institutions as well as industry associations.
  • Working knowledge on the donor community, donor policies and public policy environment.
  • Background and knowledge on domestic and export markets for organic products, fair trade systems and organic standards and certification.
  • Licensed driver, willing to work in Makati City and willing to travel to project areas.
